Darlene Maye Lehman, age 88, passed away on May 7, 2014 at the Integris Grove Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma. Darlene was born on October 25, 1925 in Newton, IA. She was the daughter of the late Roy Campbell and Marcia (Bills) Campbell. Darlene worked as a Personnel Officer for the State of Oklahoma for 30 years. Darlene married Ray Lehman on October 22, 1944 in Waterloo, IA. She was a member of the Eastern Star, AARP, and was active in the Grove Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling to Texas every winter but most of all she loved to be with her family especially her grandkids. She will be greatly missed. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, and one son-in-law, and one great grandson. Darlene is survived by her two daughters: Raynette Adams and her husband Rosswell of Grove, OK, and Marcia Sawyer of Jupiter, FL; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchildren: Darla Kitsmiller and her husband Jeff and their children Ashton, Ayden and Jeffery III; Kimberly Condit and her children Madaline and Colton; Vickie Adams her children John David and his wife Cora Abbott and daughter Tandy Rose, Monica Gunter and her husband Todd and their child Addison, and Angel Abbott; James M. Adams and his wife Terri; Christy Sanderson and her husband Erik and their child Campbell; Brandon Sawyer and his wife Allison and their two children Elin and Elli; two nephews: Mike Campbell and Royce Campbell; and numerous other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at the United Methodist Church with Dr. Richard Dayringer, officiating. Memorial donations can be made in Darlene's name to the Memorial Gardens of the First United Methodist Church of Grove, P.O. Box 450387, Grove, OK 74345.
