Darlene Solomon

Darlene Solomon, 77, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at her residence in Grove, Oklahoma. Darlene was born on Christmas day in 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of J.T. Gentzel and Ollie Alice (Charter) Gentzel. Darlene was united in marriage to the love of her life, T.L. Solomon on April 19, 1956 in Phillips, Texas. Darlene enjoyed sewing, crafts and traveling. She was a hairdresser and a substitute teacher. But most of all Darlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband T.L. Solomon of the home, their son Tommy Jay Solomon of Emmet, Arkansas, one grandson, Jason Solomon of Round Rock, Texas, one sister Doris Mae Barber of Ennis, Texas. A visitation will be held from 9-5 Tuesday, November 3, 2015 and services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 both held at Ellis Family Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. Darlene will be laid to rest in Ethel Reece Cemetery in Barnsdall, Oklahoma.
