Frances Murphy

Frances Irene Murphy passed away on December 15, 2014 at Grandwood Assisted Living Center in Grove, Oklahoma at the age of 88. Frances was born on January 31, 1926 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was the daughter of Roy D. and Donna (Weddle) Bankhead. She graduated from Compton high school in California. Frances was united in marriage to Arnold "Leo" Murphy in 1944. Due to Arnold being in the United States Air Force, the family traveled a lot, including living briefly in Europe. Frances enjoyed playing golf in her younger days. Frances loved the Lord and centered her life on her faith. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Mary Lou Hammond. Frances is survived by her three children; Dan Murphy and his wife Marjorie of Grove, Oklahoma, Mike Murphy and his wife Willa of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Teresa Farris and her husband Larry of Dessert Hot Springs, California. Frances was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, December, 19, 2014 at Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma with Dr. Richard Dayringer officiating.
