GROVE: Gary Dale Ralston, age 75, passed December 2, 2007, at Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma. Gary was born on December 4, 1932 in Wichita Kansas to Arthur and Viola (McGuiness) Ralston. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served two years in Korea. He was a member of the VFW Post 112 of Wichita, Kansas. Mr. Ralston loved the outdoors until his sickness; he loved working in the yard and building things. He was united in marriage to Velma Clark (Wilson) on the 7th day of February 1987 in Wichita, Kansas. He drove a city bus for Wichita Metropolitan Transit Authority for twenty years until his retirement in December of 1989. He and his wife moved to Hall River Kansas and lived there until March of 1992 when they moved to Grove, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife Velma Ralston of the home, one son, James Ralston of Grove, Oklahoma, two daughters, Debra Ralston of Wichita, Kansas and Tish Ralston of Grove, Oklahoma, four step-children, Tamara Stone and Jay Clark both of Grove, Oklahoma, Opal Belden and Michael Clark both of Wichita, Kansas, six grandchildren, Tiffany and Shala Ralston, and April Eure all of Wichita, Kansas, Shannon Marquardt and Austin R. Nichols both of Grove, Oklahoma, Daisy R. Clark of Denver, Colorado, three great-grandchildren, Ashley Rose Ralston, Bailey Nicole and Katelynn Pryor all of Grove, Oklahoma, three brothers Leroy Ralston and his wife Annaveve of Wichita Kansas, Russell Ralston of Sacramento, California and James W. Ralston of Cheney, Kansas, one sister Ida Ruth Smario and her husband Babe of Washougal, Washington, and numerous nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and eleven brothers and sisters. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Mulvane Cemetery in Mulvane, Kansas. The VFW Post #112 of Wichita Kansas will provide Military Rites. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donation to help offset medical expenses be made at the Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, Oklahoma 74344.
