Karen Lee Fields, 79, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Freeman West in Joplin, Missouri. Karen was born on July 16, 1936 in Los Angeles County, CA. She was the daughter of Lois (Bridgeford) and Wayne LaFon. Karen was a CNA that worked in physical therapy. She loved crocheting, doing her crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her animals especially her dogs. But, most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Jim Flood, Dale Flood, and Skip LaFon, one son, Jim Fewer, and son in-law Robert Fromeyer. She is survived by her son Steven Parker from California, her five daughters; Kim Gradados, Jeanne Fields, Sharon Fromeyer all of Grove, OK, Sheila Sleeth of West Virginia, and Janet Lee of Ohio, one brother Gordon Watson of Missouri. Karen was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2016 at Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tony Wisdom officiating.
