Lloyd Lamb

GROVE - Lloyd V. Lamb, age 82, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, February 18, 2008 at Saint Francis Hospital, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lloyd was born on White Eagle Reservation, near Ponca City, Oklahoma, on October 22, 1925. He married the love of his life, and wife of 63 years, Norma Jean Inman on December 23, 1944. Lloyd served two tours of service in the United States Army Air Corp Cadet program and in the 279 Thunderbird Infantry Divisions. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors degree in Animal Husbandry. Lloyd was a banker from 1954 until 1998. He was instrumental in founding the Intermediate School of Banking at Oklahoma University. Lloyd was a Mason for 53 years, and served as Grand Master of the Lodge. He loved his family with a passion, he loved to fish, hunt, play golf, fly airplanes and have parties on the pontoon boat. He loved music by Willie Nelson. Survivors include his wife Norma Jean Lamb of the home, sisters Vicky & Norma; one daughter Jane Cox and her husband C.J. of Tulsa, OK, her children Gary & his wife Heather, Jeanna Kishner & her husband Jude; daughter in-law Jan Lamb of Lawton, Oklahoma and her children Krista Lamb, Jarred & his wife Stephanie; son Mark Lamb of Havasu City, Arizona and daughter Leah; son Guy Lamb and his wife Stephanie of Walnut Creek, California and their sons Carson, and Brody. Lloyd also had five great-grandchildren; Hayden, Caysi, Jade, Melody & Cynithia. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, and first son David Lamb. It is hard to sum up this mans life in few paragraphs. We are full of memories and will miss his dry humor and many other traits, as well as his loving heart. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, February 22, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Ellis Family Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.
