Marjorie "Marge" May Chowning, 68 year old Grove resident, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020. She was born in Mission, KS on December 8, 1951 to William and Helen Mize. On January 25, 1970 she was united in marriage to Rodney “Rod” Chowning. Marge was a member of the Coalition of Historical Trekkers, and a very talented seamstress and volunteered her talents to make costumes for the Playmakers plays and Pre 1840 reenactments. She sewed and crocheted many quilts, pillows, and afghans for her loved ones to enjoy as well.
Survivors include her husband Rod of the home, her mother Helen Bellew, daughter Gina Kegin and husband Terry, son Rodney Chowning, Jr and wife Lisa, 4 grandchildren: Taylor, Rodney Michael, Blaise, and Caleb, 3 great grandchildren: Felicity, Jordan and Madison, siblings: Bill Mize, Jr and wife Susie, Kirk Mize, Joe Mize and wife Beverly, Debby Harms, and Steve Mize, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the Worley-Ellis Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020 also at the Worley-Ellis Chapel.
