Mary Sumner

Mary Jane Sumner, age 79, went to live with our great Lord Saturday, the 20th of February, 2016 at St. John's Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mary Jane was born in Humboldt Kansas on June 24, 1936 to the late Elmer and Christiana Card. She grew up in Humboldt and later moved to Oklahoma City and then to Tulsa where she worked for several banks and retired in 1995. She moved to Grove Oklahoma in January of 1995. She enjoyed playing games, fishing, sewing, crocheting, ceramics, collecting cookbooks, bingo, church and being with family. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Loren Wright and Thomas Sumner, brothers; Charles Card and Fred Card, step daughter Susan Sumner and step son Scott Sumner. Surviving her are children Loren David and wife Vickie Wright of Grove, OK, Lucinda Jane Collins and husband Chris Knappstein of Huntsville, OH, Stanley K. Sumner of Tulsa, OK and Steven T. Sumner of Tahlequah, OK. Grandchildren Loren Paul and wife Katie Wright, Crystal G. Ringler, Shaun I. and wife Carrie Wright, Bryan L. Sweeney, Thomas Eric Sumner and Jeremy S. Sumner, Great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, 1005 Leisure Road, Grove, OK.
