Robert Ballentine

Grove - Robert Lee Ballentine, Jr., age 66, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Grand Lake Villa in Grove, Oklahoma. Robert was born on August 21, 1941 to Robert Lee and Eleanor (Lancaster) Ballentine in Plymouth, Indiana. He grew up around the Kalamazoo, Michigan area. . In 1975, Robert Moved to Colorado where he met and married his wife Carol L. Moeller on October 4, 1975 in Englewood. They moved to Newport News Virginia in 1994 then ten years later, retired and moved to Grove, Oklahoma. He worked 30 years as a Field Service Manager for Liebherr America, Inc., a construction/ heavy equipment manufacture in Newport News, Virginia. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and visiting with people. Robert was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Grove, Oklahoma, where he was currently serving as Vice-President, and was serving on the building committee. Survivors include is wife Carol Ballentine of the home, one brother, James Ballentine of Portage, Michigan, eight children, Carl Eberhard of Stasburg, Colorado, Wendy Schriener of Centennial, Colorado, Sheryl Kelly and Linda Lidbetter both of Parker, Colorado, Robert A. Ballentine of Kelly North Carolina, Ivorli Ballentine of Marcellus, Michigan, David Ballentine of Portage, Michigan, and Shannon Williams of Charlotte, North Carolina, thirteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A visitation for family and friend will be held from 7:00 till 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the Ellis Family Funeral Home (Immanuel Lutheran Church) in Grove, Oklahoma, with Reverend Leo Schroeder officiating.
