Roy Lee Stovall, 59, of Jay, Oklahoma went home to be with our Lord in heaven on August 10, 2007 at his residence following a three year battle with lung cancer. He was born on August 2, 1948 in Joplin Missouri to Roy James Stovall and Isabell True (Snow). He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Brigham, on September 13, 1965 in Neosho Missouri, she survives. Roy is also survived by his sons Mike Stovall and wife Edee of Salem Oregon, Mark Stovall and wife Kati and their son John, Luke Stovall and wife Kezra all of Dallas Oregon, adopted daughter Kris Karloski and husband Mike of Canby Minnesota, grandchildren: Heather (Stovall) Poore and her husband Ben, Eric Stovall and Joy, Mark Kevin Stovall, Kade Metzger, Andrew, Mikey Karloski, Melanni Karloski, baby grandson to be born September of 2007 to Luke and Kezra Stovall, great grandchildren: Kaily Karloski, Zyiann, baby to born March of 2008 to Eric and Joy Stovall, sisters: Diane Clevenger of Seneca Missouri, Sharon Williams of Fairland Oklahoma, brothers: Charlie and Lloyd Martin of Fairland, Oklahoma, sisters: Georgia Ann Stovall, Dennas Francis, Neasy Garwood all of Miami Oklahoma, Lauri Heffelman of Grove Oklahoma, Deanna Mersman of Seneca Missouri, brother Tom Stovall of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, aunt Dean Hilliard of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, step brothers Leroy Howard, Leslie Howard, Carolyn and sisters; Sue Nukols of Wyandotte, Oklahoma Carol Hammons Joplin Missouri, Eddie Bowers, Miami, Oklahoma, Shine Carson, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Brother James Stovall, Sister Trudy (Stovall) White, grandson Daniel Lee Stovall and step-brother Keith Martin. Roy attended high school in Seneca Missouri and lived in that area until 1976 when he relocated to Salem Oregon. He worked at several jobs over the years, retiring from a cannery in Salem after 24 years of service. Roy was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 670, driving a front-end loader and doing maintenance. He enjoyed his family, woodworking, fishing, bird watching and loved to drive and his dogs. Following retirement, Roy settled in Zena Oklahoma but claimed, "My work is never done." He is now at work worshiping the Lord in Heaven. A Private memorial service will follow cremation and interment will be a t Bassett Grove Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma. Roy was a member of the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe and Pastor Jerry Henson will conduct the services.
