Sibyl Carey

Sibyl Bernice (Gilbert) Carey, age 87, died on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Integris Baptist Regional Heath Center in Miami, Oklahoma. The daughter of Rosco Rerder and Rosy Gilbert, Sibyl was born on November 18, 1921 in Grove, Oklahoma. She was a lifelong resident of the Grove area. Sibyl was united in marriage to Elzie Lonzo Carey who preceded her in death in 1992. She was a loving mother, grandmother and attended the Christian Church. Survivors include her daughter Sharon Bauman, granddaughter Shalya Ballew, two great-grandchildren Cheyenne Ballew and Steven Ballew all of Tyler, Texas Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2009 at the Buzzard Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home.
